Robbie Williams has been hotly-tipped to sing the theme tune to the next James Bond movie. The pop heartthrob has reportedly been approached about lending his vocals to 'Casino Royale'.Songwriter Tony Christie has penned a track for the upcoming spy thriller, and says he hopes Robbie will sing it.He revealed: "Robbie's voice would suit it down to the ground - plus he's current and hip so it would be absolutely great if he did it. We tried to make it a typical Bond theme tune with a throbbing dramatic bassline filling the background."I'm a huge fan of the old school 007 songs like Shirley Bassey with 'Goldfinger' and Tom Jones singing 'Thunderball', so I tried to give it that authentic sound."He added: "We are due to record it in February."Last year it was rumoured the singer was a contender to take over from Pierce Brosnan as the dashing spy. However the star scotched the reports, saying at the time: ""Me from Stoke-On-Trent, doing James Bond? I just don't see it happening."
